# Reporting Footpath Problems to KCC
1. Open the [KCC's Public rights of way Page](https://www.kent.gov.uk/environment-waste-and-planning/public-rights-of-way)
   * A KCC page showing various aspects of Rights of Way is displayed. Sometimes the pages are slow to react to the selections made.
   * Select [Report a problem on a right of way](https://www.kent.gov.uk/environment-waste-and-planning/public-rights-of-way/report-a-problem-on-a-right-of-way)
   * Select *Report it*
   * Select *Report a fault*
2. A map of Kent is displayed.
    * Select Log in and log into the account you have registered with KCC
    *  You have the option to register an account at this stage
    * The Public Rights of Way map is displayed again
3. Select Report a Fault
    * The Report a Fault page is displayed
    * Enlarge the scale; at least to the level which shows the number of the footpath in question. The Report a Fault Page has 3 tool buttons at the top right of the page:
        * To report a problem the tool buttons should be tapped to enable the required action.
        * When the tool button has been selected so that the associated action can be made a boarder appears around the tool button.
        * Icon with I – Used to display information about a selected feature
        * Icon with pointing finger – Used to put a high light along the selected path.
        * Icon with Triangular Alert symbol – Used to mark more closely the location of the problem on the highlighted path.
        * Once the problem location has been set on the highlighted path a Fault Location box is displayed
        * Select Fault Details
            * A box to enter the details is displayed
            * Enter the Fault Type
            * Enter the description of the fault
            * Submit
