# API Tab
- The API tab contains settings such as the URL to the Brevo system, that you might have to visit if you want to edit email templates, along with configuration checkboxes that turn on/off the ability to send emails, and the API key which is used by the website to authenticate to Brevo when messages are sent and received.

## Global Settings

## Account Settings
* The lower half of the Mail API settings screen show the Account Settings and Free Email Plan Usage. The fields in the Account Settings section are readonly and reflect what was input when the Brevo account was originally setup.
* When campaign emails are sent out to members, the footer on the emails may contain some of these fields for identification purposes.
* The very bottom of the screen shows a progress bar that indicates how much of the 300 mails per day allocation has been used. This is automatically reset every day.
