New to NGX-Ramblers?

NGX-Ramblers is the system your group's website runs on. This page gets you logged in, then points you to a short guide for each thing you are likely to want to do.

Logging in to your group's website

One thing to know first: you log in on your own group's website, not on this one. This how-to site is shared by every group; your login only works on your group's own site, at the address you already use to look at the walks programme.

  1. Find the email containing your login details. It is sent by whoever looks after your group's website, and it has your username and a password reset link in it. If it has not arrived yet, you can reset your password yourself (note that you have to do this by adding /forgot-password to your own website address - not on the NGX Ramblers project site that you are reading now. Alternatively, you can click forgot password in the header of your site).
  2. Go to your group's website and choose Login from the menu at the top of the page.
  3. Type in the username and password from the email, exactly as written.

That's it. The website will now show you more than ordinary visitors see: depending on your role you will have an Admin menu, and extra editing controls on the pages you look after.

Password not working, or lost the email? Find your group in the table below and click its Reset my password link, enter your email address, and a reset link will be sent to you.

Now, what would you like to do?

Each of these links takes you to a step-by-step guide with screenshots. Pick the one that matches what you are trying to do:

The full set of guides lives under How-to for the Committee and Email Articles.

If you get stuck

Ask whoever sent you your login details, or use the contact options on your group's website. If you are still stuck, or something seems harder than it should be, email the NGX-Ramblers team and we will help. NGX-Ramblers is shaped by suggestions from the people who use it.
