[#161](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/161)\n\n## [build 488](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/actions/runs/22327362059) — [commit ff6fa48](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/commit/ff6fa4866e2a5b3652076e7610aec1c2bfc6d7e9)\n\n_____\n\n## What Changed for Users\n### 1. Walk Editing for Walk Manager Sync Events (closes #161)\nWalk administrators can now edit walks imported from Walk Manager, not just\nlocally created walks. This was the primary gap blocking corrections to\nimported data such as incorrect map locations.\n- Editing is available for Walk Manager-sourced walks without triggering\nautomatic email notifications.\n- Fixes, including location corrections, can be applied without re-importing.\nAs part of this, the correct Meetup event ID URLs are now resolved so that\nrelated links to individual Meetup event pages are populated accurately.\n### 2. Smarter Walk Leader Matching (secondary improvement)\nLeader matching now uses stronger rules across prior mappings, email, phone, full\nname, and abbreviated-name patterns. When a leader is matched, contact email, phone,\nand display values are populated from member admin data automatically.\nMatch confidence and source are shown clearly in the rematch banner.\n### 3. Correct Email-vs-URL Contact Link Behaviour\nLeader contact links now resolve by type:\n- Plain email addresses open native email compose via mailto:.\n- Valid web URLs open as links.\n- Invalid values are displayed as text rather than broken routes.\n### 4. Save Robustness for Null Parent Objects\nFixed save failures where nested fields (e.g. venue/image config subfields) had\nnull parent objects, preventing backend errors such as:\nCannot create field ... in element ... null.\nNormalisation now runs in one pass, reducing save, reopen, save again loops.\n### 5. Walk Configuration Admin UI with Configurable Validation\nA new multi-tab Walk Configuration page is available at /walks/admin/config,\nreplacing the previous Meetup Settings panel in the walks admin panel.\n- General tab: configure default miles per hour and toggle three validation\nrules (require risk assessment, require finish time, require walk leader\ndisplay name) that gate walk approval.\n- Meetup tab: maintain description prefix content text items.\n- Publishing Defaults tab: configure Meetup publishing defaults.\nRisk assessment enforcement is set automatically on first run based on whether\nany risk assessment data already exists in the database.\n## Verification\nTargeted tests and compile checks were run for updated editing paths, leader\nmatching, contact action correctness, save consistency, and walk config UI.","contentHtml":"
23-Feb-2026 — add configurable walk validation and config admin UI, enable editing of walk manager sy... #161
\n
build 488 — commit ff6fa48
\n
\n
What Changed for Users
\n
1.
