{"id":"69fb87612d3be50e28f7c726","title":"2026 05 06 Issue 262","path":"how-to/committee/release-notes/2026-05-06-issue-262","contentMarkdown":"# 06-May-2026 - Filter your events into categories with tags - [closes #262](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/262)\n\nIf your group runs a mix of activities - regular walks, holidays away, working parties, coach trips - you can now tag each event with a category and have separate pages that show only the events you want.\n\nFor example, you could have a **Holidays** page that lists every event tagged *Holiday*, and a **What's on** page that quietly leaves those out so it stays focused on the day-to-day walks. The events themselves still live in one place; the tags just decide which page they appear on.\n\nThere are three short steps to get this working on your site.\n\n## Step 1 - Define your tag list\n\nGo to **Admin > System Settings > Area & Group** and scroll down to the **Event Tags** section. Click **+ add tag** for each category you want, and give it a name like *Holiday*, *Coach Trip* or *Working Party*. The **Sort Index** controls the order tags appear in - leave it blank if you don't mind.\n\nClick **Save** when you're happy with the list. When you put a site into **Edit site** mode and edit any page that has an **Events** row, the row's settings now have two extra pickers:\n\n- **Include any of these tags** - the events row will only show events tagged with one of these. Leave it empty to show every event.\n- **Exclude these tags** - hide events tagged with any of these.\n\nA *Holidays* page would set **Include any** to *Holiday*.
