• composed documents on phones render as a single continuous sheet instead of dozens of near-empty simulated A4 pages: below 768px the paginator skips page splitting entirely, while desktop pagination and the Print / A4 output are unchanged
• heading highlights follow wrapped text: each rendered h1/h2 line now carries its own yellow marker bar with a slight overhang at both ends, instead of one full-width bar under the last line only
• the document footer no longer truncates on the right: the text column can shrink inside the flex row and the contact links wrap as whole units between email and website
• phone-width documents get proportionate side margins, backdrop padding and title sizing in place of the full A4 margins
• PDF viewing fits the page to the frame width via the #view=FitH open parameter, so the whole page is visible on a phone instead of losing the right-hand half
• Word and other Office files on phones offer a View document button that opens Microsoft's full-screen viewer, which reflows text to the screen, in place of the clipped inline embed; desktop keeps the embedded viewer
• heading sizes are progressively correct and aligned with national Ramblers: global h4 drops from 1.5rem to 1.1111rem and h6 to 0.8889rem to match ramblers.org.uk, h5 becomes 1rem to keep the scale strictly descending, and the committee document content scale now defines h4-h6 so document headings no longer fall through to the oversized global h4

Word, Excel and other Office files can't be shown inline on a phone, so they offer a View document button. Tapping it opens the file full-screen in Microsoft's viewer, where the whole document is readable:
