The walks programme loads faster. Walk cards without a photo show a small map of the start point instead, and those maps now load only as each card scrolls into view rather than all at once. On a long list that avoids a big burst of map requests, so the page feels quicker and lighter.
The server now keeps an eye on its own memory and restarts itself early if it is heading towards running out, instead of slowing to a crawl and being stopped abruptly. In day-to-day use that means fewer, shorter interruptions.
