27-Jul-2026 — improve walk page layout, album actions and related links ref #312
What's new
Walk pages use a clearer two-column layout when a photo album is present, with the map and map controls docked as one unit. Create and Edit album only appear once a walk has started; empty albums abandoned with Back are removed. Publish to Ramblers is hidden for walks that are already in the past. Related links can show what3words and OS Maps from the start pin when a dedicated address or route is missing, and walk configuration uses the same Save / Undo / Exit actions as other admin settings.
At a glance
- Create album and Edit album show only for past or already-started walks
- Back without saving removes a newly created album that has no photos
- Publish is not offered on walks that have already started
- With an album: leader and details on the top row, related links and album below, equal column widths
- Group / leader panel stretches to match walk details height without overlapping related links
- Match-walk-images album style has a light frame around the strip
- Map and Show Map As controls sit together again, with space clear of the panel expander
- Admin actions and status alert share one full-width row under the meta grid
- what3words and OS Maps related links can use the start location when no w3w or OS route is stored
- Walk configuration uses Save, Undo changes and Exit (save and exit / exit without saving)
- Walk list search alert and quiet pagers align more cleanly
