28-Jul-2026 — contact-us button builder and editor improvements (ref #338, #303)
What's new
You can add and edit Contact Us buttons from the visual editor without typing query strings. Open the envelope control on the TipTap toolbar, pick a committee role, set the link name, and insert or update a button. Redirect always returns to the page you are editing. Existing contact buttons open the same builder so you can change them later.

At a glance
- Envelope control on the TipTap toolbar builds a Contact Us button from a committee role and link name, filling in the redirect for you
- Clicking an existing contact button re-opens the builder so you can change it; inserting one sets the column to Make Links Buttons
- Clicking a link in the editor no longer navigates away — the link bar opens instead, and handles absolute, relative and contact-us paths
- Column frames stay visible in site edit, with the drag handle alongside the other column controls
- Save actions and the editor toolbar stay in view while scrolling long pages and committee documents
- Editable text shows a pointer and a Click to edit hint on hover
- Inline code added to the toolbar, and Mermaid code blocks show a live preview with a toggle back to source
