settings+contact-us: contact us sender role, redirect to home and settings tidy-ups (#16, #303, #338)
What's new
Contact Us emails were being sent from the Support role on every site, which meant a Contact Us button pointing at Support was refused: the same role cannot be both the sender and the recipient. Contact Us now sends from the dedicated Contact Us role instead. Existing sites are corrected automatically when they next start, and any site without a Contact Us role has one created.
Contact Us buttons created on the home page no longer send people to a page that does not exist. They previously recorded a redirect back to "home", which is not a real address, so closing the form landed on a missing page. New buttons built on the home page leave the redirect out altogether, and existing ones are sent back to the site root.
The reCAPTCHA Site Key is now a hidden field with show and copy controls, matching the Secret Key beneath it.
Google Analytics settings gain a help panel explaining where to find your Tracking Id, that leaving it empty turns analytics off completely, and linking to the privacy and cookies guidance.
On the Mail Senders list, the Delete and Cancel buttons on the delete confirmation no longer break across lines mid-word.
At a glance
- Contact Us emails send from the Contact Us role rather than Support
- Sites missing a Contact Us role have one created automatically
- Contact Us buttons made on the home page omit the redirect; older ones return to the site root
- reCAPTCHA Site Key is masked, with show and copy
- Google Analytics settings explain the Tracking Id and link to the privacy guidance
- Delete and Cancel on the sender delete confirmation stay on one line
