What's new
Groups that do not walk on the same day every week can now say so. Regular Walk Day in Walks Admin has a None option, and when it is chosen the button members use to add their own walk simply reads Add walk, rather than naming a day the group does not actually use.
Walk leaders can also be sent straight into a new walk from anywhere, including a group's own how-to page, using /walks/add-walk. Following the link creates the walk already attached to the member who is signed in and opens it for editing, exactly as the button on the walks programme does. Anyone not signed in is asked to log in first.
At a glance
- Regular Walk Day offers None, for groups with no fixed walking day
- With None chosen, the add-walk button reads Add walk instead of Add non-Sunday walk
- The Add Walk Slots wording no longer refers to a regular day that does not exist
- /walks/add-walk creates a walk for the signed-in member and opens it, the same as the button does
- Members without walk creation access get a clear explanation rather than a blank page
- Groups that have never set a regular walking day keep Sunday exactly as before
