What's new

Walk co-ordinators now have one place to see the state of the whole programme, rather than piecing it together from the walks list. Programme Overview groups walks by status, with counts across the top that take you straight to that set of walks. Programme Calendar shows the same walks by month, coloured by status, grade or leader. Programme Map plots the whole programme on one map. You can move between all three without going back to the menu, and the dates you are looking at follow you across.

Walk leaders get their own view for the first time. My Walks is open to any leader, without needing the walk administrator setting, and shows their upcoming walks and anything still outstanding on them. All of it fits how your group works: groups whose walks come from Walks Manager can now tell draft walks from published ones, and the views follow whatever your site calls its walks page.

At a glance

• Programme Overview groups walks by status, with counts you can click to filter, and a web address you can bookmark or send on
• Programme Calendar shows a month at a time, as a compact grid or with each week given its own roomier row, coloured by status, grade or leader
• Programme Map shows where the whole programme takes place, and can be narrowed to one status
• My Walks gives leaders their own list of upcoming walks and outstanding jobs, linked from the walks page
• Draft walks from Walks Manager are now shown as Draft rather than counted as published
• The programme opens on all future dates, and going back from a walk returns you to the view you came from, with your dates and your place on the page kept
• The Walk Admin page is now built from editable buttons, so its wording, icons and colours can be changed on the site
• Index maps no longer zoom out to the whole country because of one far-flung entry, and can be sized by dragging them in the editor
• Choosing Both on a linear walk now shows both ends straight away
• Dropdowns in the toolbars no longer disappear behind walk maps
