# 17-Aug-2026 — present walks as events and keep only real public pages in the index [ref #297](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/297)

## [build 834](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/actions/runs/32036227122) — [commit e1e37d8](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/commit/e1e37d8ea428db56db2a2d586ea6db64f7411713)

## What's new

Walk pages now tell search engines who is leading and that the event is free, so they can list it as a proper event rather than a bare page. Addresses that are not a real public page return not found. Copies such as /home, object-id walk links, social events filed under walks, and format-export variants are pointed at the official address or asked not to be indexed, and the sitemap only lists pages with a public slug.

## At a glance

- The walk leader is included on the event listing
- A free-event offer is included, marked sold out if the walk is cancelled
- Unknown public addresses return not found and ask not to be indexed
- `/home` and object-id walk addresses go to the proper address
- Format-export copies of a page (`?format=html`, markdown or json) are not indexed
- Social events appear at their social address in the sitemap; walks without a public slug are left out
