# 17-Aug-2026 — do not log members out when Brevo refuses an API call [ref #359](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/359)

## [build 834](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/actions/runs/32036227122) — [commit f092b63](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/commit/f092b6373eee47552da734cd2bb6e1240b96def3)

## What's new

When Mail Settings asked Brevo for the account and Brevo refused the key, for example because this laptop's IP was not on the allow list, NGX treated that as a dead login and threw the member out of admin. Brevo is allowed to refuse the key. NGX is not allowed to log anyone out or take down admin for that. On the same Mail API Settings tab the API Key and SMTP Key rows now match the Ramblers Team Emails key row: a fully rounded secret field, a small gap, then View beside it.

## At a glance

- A Brevo 401 no longer looks like a session expiry in the browser
- Mail Settings stays open and shows the account error instead of the login screen
- Real NGX session expiry still logs you out as before
- API Key and SMTP Key keep View on the same row, with the same spacing and rounded field as the team API key Test row
