What's new

OS Maps on the site now carries the Ordnance Survey logo and Crown copyright line the licence asks for, and the tile proxy stops a single visitor pulling more tiles than we should in a minute or a day. Cached tiles last a day rather than forever. Importing a route from OS Maps also handles the two-step login page, trims stray spaces on the email and password, and hides the Playwright noise that was drowning the job log.

At a glance

• OS Maps views show the OS logo and Crown copyright with Terms and Report an error
• A visitor who hammers the map is asked to wait rather than burning the OS allowance
• OS tiles are cached for a day on the phone and at the proxy
• OS Maps import logs in through the two-step identity page and ignores spaces around the email or password
• The job progress list no longer fills with Playwright stack traces and script banners
