A second email on the same subject a few minutes later was also folded into the first message, hiding the follow-up. Sent mail now looks like sent mail. The header follows the latest message, a member send is recorded when it goes out, older copies are corrected when the inbox is opened, and a follow-up with different wording stays visible as its own message.\n\n## At a glance\n\n- The conversation header From and To match the latest message\n- A welcome email or other member send appears as sent, not as unread inbound\n- A follow-up with different wording stays visible as its own message\n- Identical copies of one send still collapse into a single conversation item\n- Older copies of our own sends are corrected the next time the inbox is opened","contentHtml":"
19-Aug-2026 — show sent mail correctly and keep a follow-up visible ref #278
\n
build 840 — commit 95e301d
\n
\n
What's new
\n
The inbox was treating mail the site had sent as if it were a new unread reply: the conversation header showed the wrong people, a welcome email sat unread, and member sends were not filed at send time so a Gmail copy arrived later looking inbound.
