When AI is switched on, the meeting now writes its\nown notes from the moment it starts, turning what is said and the chat into\na tidy set of notes saved for the group. You do not need to turn anything on.\nA note on privacy: to turn speech into text, Chrome and Edge send the audio\nto Google, so the sound leaves your device while notes are being taken.\nFirefox does not do this, so a Firefox user adds their chat but not their\nvoice.\n\n- Notes that stay open. Fixed the notes panel that could open and then\ndisappear behind a darkened screen, which left people unable to take notes.\nThe meeting controls no longer cover the notes either.\n\n- Real names for guests. Someone invited by email now joins showing their name,\nworked out from their email address, instead of the word \"guest\", and they\ncan still change it on the way in.\n\n- Tidier controls on phones. In landscape the meeting controls no longer sit\nacross people's faces. They tuck out of the way and come back when you need\nthem, and stay in view on a computer.\n\n- Better screen sharing. A shared screen now takes over the main view for\neveryone, the way it does in Teams, rather than sitting in the grid as though\nit were just another person.\n\n- No more echo when you are in the same room. Two things help here. There is\nnow a \"Join without sound\" button, so when a few of you are together in one\nroom, only one device carries the sound and the echo goes away. On top of\nthat, the meeting can now notice by itself when another device in the same\nroom is on the call, and offer to switch yours to no sound.\n\n- Faster to join. Meetings now start straight away, instead of waiting for the\nmeeting server to wake up.\n\nMail (#368)\n\n- Search your whole mailbox. Mail search now looks through everything: the\nsubject, the message text, and the names and email addresses of who a message\nis from and to, across every folder including Sent, Junk and Deleted.
