02-Sep-2026 — keep minutes, guest joins and committee emails reliable ref #357
What's new
Video meetings now keep a draft of the minutes even when a long call would previously lose the write-up on Leave, and leftover recordings can be written up or discarded from the Meetings page. A guest who retries or joins again from another device replaces their existing seat instead of filling the call with duplicate Guest tiles. Other meetings appear on the calendar with the rest of the programme. Committee documents can be emailed as a link, the document content, or both, and new agendas and minutes go onto the documents page you choose in Committee Settings rather than assuming a fixed committee year path. The live picture in speaker view is no longer covered by Jitsi's filmstrip drawer.
At a glance
- Leaving a recorded call saves the minutes from what was said, even if writing the summary takes a while
- If minutes were missed, the Meetings page lists recordings that still need a draft, with Write minutes and Discard recording
- A guest who joins again replaces their first connection, rather than appearing twice
- Booked Other meetings show on the calendar
- Emailing a committee file can include a link, the document content, or both, and selecting events adds an Events section when needed
- Committee Settings lets you choose which documents page new agendas and minutes are added to
- Speaker view no longer shows Jitsi's filmstrip overlay and chevron
- The Meetings page lists recent minutes in a consistent table
