People could see each other but not always hear each other, and the person with the problem had no way to tell that their computer had chosen the wrong microphone. Meetings now start with a check screen where you see your camera, pick your microphone and camera, and click Join. During the meeting a new Sound button lets you switch microphone, speaker or camera and watch a level bar move as you speak. If your microphone is on but producing no sound, the meeting tells you and offers the picker.
\nA logged-in member who opens the meeting link from email or the calendar now joins as themselves, not as Guest. Guests can type the name everyone should see, and the People panel confirms the change and has a Done button. Leave asks for confirmation first, and the in-call invite dialogue always offers a copyable join link. When sending a meeting invite you can add a short note to the email body so the title can stay short. Speaker view shows the people strip along the bottom again, and the chevron shows or hides it. Deleting a planned meeting names its date and time so two meetings on the same day are easy to tell apart. In maximised Mail, the selected-messages menu and attachment Preview open on top of the inbox instead of behind it. Fly machine history in Diagnostics now includes the video meetings server, and from Platform management you can view the same charts for any environment.
\nLeaving a meeting by accident is now much harder: clicking elsewhere on the site while in a call asks you to confirm first, the browser warns before a reload or tab close, and if you do drop out a banner on every page offers to take you straight back in. The meeting bar matches the site header colour and the Join button on the check screen is Ramblers yellow.
\nStart-now video rooms now appear on the Meetings page, so a leftover call can be joined or deleted instead of vanishing after the room closes. An empty title, including the old Ramblers meeting default, is shown as Unnamed meeting.
\nIn the first real committee meeting held on it, a shared screen shrank into a small tile with a dark border that nobody could enlarge. A shared screen now takes over the large view for everyone and the previous layout returns when sharing stops, and the Full screen button uses the browser's real full screen where it is allowed, with the in-page layout as the fallback.
\nMinutes taken from a recorded meeting put every word in the mouth of the person who pressed Record. The recording microphone picks up everyone through the speakers, and each chunk was saved under the recorder's name. Transcription now knows who is in the room and who owns the microphone, asks for every utterance on its own line labelled with the speaker, and stores each line under that speaker. The meeting also keeps a note of who was speaking and sends that with each audio clip, and any line the model cannot label goes to the person who was speaking most at the time, or to Unknown, rather than to the recorder. The recorder is only credited when they are alone in the meeting. The minutes writer is told to attribute statements to the named person and never to the recorder.
\nPlanned-meeting invites carried one plain link for everyone, so anyone not logged in was asked to type their name. Send now rewrites the link target per recipient with their name and email as merge fields, and the guest join reads them, pre-fills the name and asks the server for a token in that person's identity, so each invitee gets their own seat and their own name without logging in. A logged-in member still joins as themselves and the identity fields are dropped.
\nThe planner's send dialogue offers "Send to committee role addresses" when everyone on the chosen list holds a committee role, matching the email composer, and remembers the choice on the meeting.
