## What's new

Posting an upcoming walk or social event to the group's Facebook Page or Instagram has been an admin's job: walk admins for walks, social admins for events. Groups can now decide who else may do it, per event type, alongside the other Group Walk and Group Event settings in System Settings. The choices are the usual access levels plus two that are specific to events: walk or event admin, and event leader or organiser, meaning the person leading that particular walk or event. A member who meets the chosen level sees the promotion option on an upcoming walk or event, with the same preview and posting as an admin. The default is the admins, so nothing changes for a group until it chooses otherwise. Walk Configuration's leader self-service settings are gathered into their own framed section with help text, including a pointer to where the promotion setting lives.

## At a glance

- System Settings, Group / Area Configuration: "social media promotion" access level for Group Walks and for Group Events
- Two new event-specific access levels: walk or event admin, and event leader or organiser
- Members who meet the chosen level see the promotion option on upcoming walks and events
- Walk Configuration's General tab is arranged into two balanced framed sections, Walk programme defaults and Walk leader self-service, each with help text; the default start time sits with the programme defaults
