What's new

When the Locate map was maximised there was no way to change the place being shown. The search box lives in the page header, which the full-screen view covers, and with the Google Maps provider the map is an embedded frame that cannot be clicked to pick a point. The search box now appears in the full-screen bar as well, so a grid reference, postcode or place name can be typed and chosen without leaving full screen.

At a glance

• The Locate page's search box is available in the full-screen bar alongside the map provider and directions controls
• Choosing a place from full screen moves the map and updates the page address as it does in the normal view
