# 09-Sep-2026 — restart any environment's machine, with staging-only worker and video and a longer history [#304](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/304)

## [build 884](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/actions/runs/34289364365) — [commit f86f075](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/commit/f86f075da6b5276e9d6c55ff1731d78abcf2fb98)

## What's new

The Fly machine history and restart controls used to work only for the machine you were signed in to. Viewing another environment in the estate showed its charts but offered no way to restart it, and the restart controls only ever hit the local machine. Restart now follows the environment you are looking at, using that environment's own Fly token and app, so a platform admin can restart any site in the estate from its own settings page. The restart button sits to the right of Refresh, on the same baseline as the toggle groups.

The integration worker and video meetings only exist for the environment you are actually on, so those two app tabs now appear only when looking at the current environment, not when viewing another environment's history, where only the website machine is shown. The history range goes back further too - 14 days and 30 days are offered, up to the 30 days Fly keeps.

## At a glance

- Restart works for whichever environment you are viewing, not just the local one, and appears to the right of Refresh
- The integration worker and video meetings tabs show only for the current environment; a remote environment shows just its website machine
- The Fly history range adds 14 days and 30 days, up to Fly's 30-day retention
- The external "Fly metrics" link is gone; the charts and figures are all in the page
- Refresh and Restart line up along the bottom edge of the toggle groups
