## What's new

A walk now records whether its last upload to Ramblers worked. If it failed, the walk still needs publishing: the Publish option on the walk page says "Last upload to Ramblers failed on …", and Walks export lists the same message against the walk. A walk is only marked as published to Ramblers once the upload has finished successfully. Before, it was marked the moment an upload started, so a failed upload looked like a success and the walk no longer asked to be published.

A meeting point added to a walk on the group site is now added to the walk on Ramblers by editing it in place, so the walk keeps its photos and everything else already on Ramblers. Walks export shows it as "Walk will be edited on Ramblers: meeting point (none → Eastbourne Pier, BN21 3EL) differs". Before, only the meeting time was compared, and that edit always failed because Walks Manager has no meeting time field until a walk has a separate meeting point.

## At a glance

- The walk page offers Publish when the walk differs from the walk on Ramblers, as Walks export does, as well as when it differs from what was last published; walks marked as published by a failed upload before this change are caught this way
- A failed upload leaves each walk in it needing publishing, with the date and time of the failure shown on the walk page and in Walks export
- The "Published to Ramblers" history entry is added only when the upload succeeds
- The outcome is recorded by the server when the upload finishes, so closing the Walks export page during an upload no longer loses it
- Walks deleted on Ramblers have their local Ramblers details cleared only after the upload succeeds
- A new or changed meeting point is edited in place on Ramblers: the upload ticks My walk has a separate meeting point, enters the meeting time, opens the Meeting point tab, searches for the meeting postcode and chooses the first match, as a person would, then enters the postcode and description
- A changed meeting postcode or meeting details no longer replaces the walk on Ramblers
- Walks with no meeting point on Ramblers are no longer flagged for a meeting time edit that cannot be made
