# 23-Sep-2026 — phone home, Home Screen name, pull to refresh and Near me ([ref #151](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/151), [#394](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/394))

## [build 965](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/actions/runs/35863747478) — [commit c558a71](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/commit/c558a719c2e9b15cc1b2e47b2c0108793db14208)

## What's new

The phone home is easier to use and behaves more like a real phone app. Maps and Upcoming have icons, Near me and Favourites are labelled filters, search clears from inside the field, and Customise has a Done button. Upcoming walks show a photo when there is one, open the walk page from the photo or title, and hide empty leader slots using the walk configuration. Add to Home Screen uses the group's short name. Pulling down from the top of any page drags the page and spins a sunburst, then reloads. Near me ignores a GPS fix that is nowhere near the group's maps, so a phone (or Simulator) on the other side of the world still lists the local walks.

## At a glance

- Maps and Upcoming buttons include icons; Near me and Favourites sit on their own row with labels
- Search has a clear control inside the field and does not force capitals
- Appearance is three icon buttons; Customise ends with Done
- Upcoming shows walk photos, hides empty leader slots, and opens the walk on the website; Back returns to the phone app
- The Home Screen name is the group's short name, not Ramblers
- Add to Home Screen can be dismissed and stays dismissed
- Pull down from the top of any page to refresh, with a spinning sunburst and the page moving down
- The last maps and walks list is kept so returning from a walk does not sit on Finding walks
- Near me uses the group's maps when the phone's GPS is more than 100 miles from every map
