Home page carousels were waiting for every photo in the album before they appeared, so a large album made the slides the last thing on the page. Albums now load the first twenty photos first, so the carousel can show at once, then fill in the rest in the background without jumping back to the first slide. Walk links on those photos are resolved in one small request rather than a separate lookup for each photo.
