The composer heading has a settings gear for three personal choices: remember last email type, confirm before send, and warn before leaving with unsaved work. The open or closed gear is kept in the URL as configure, so the panel stays as you left it if you refresh.
A new email starts with the last type you used when remember last email type is on, including unbranded. When it is off, a new email starts with the Mail Settings default email configuration, or the first type in the list if none is marked as default. Save privately and Save and share with committee are on Save. Show lists Drafts, Sent and New email, so you can abandon the current message without leaving the composer. Save, Show and Add section, plus walk and event Publish menus, use one filled dropdown so the whole control is clickable, and the menu is at least as wide as the button. On form Exit, clicking the button saves and leaves; the caret opens the menu for Save and exit or Exit without saving.
