# 12-Oct-2026 — refine route controls and safely separate group data [ref #151](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/151)

## [build 999](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/actions/runs/38301788106) — [commit a9ddbff](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/commit/a9ddbffcf67c8af9a4ad0cc714a719c290e7fad4)

_____

## What's new

- The installed app is named NGX Ramblers on iPhone and Android.
- On first launch, choose an area or group from the directory, or type a website address when you are testing a specific site.
- Open a route and the drawer starts collapsed. Recording shows whether you are recording, paused or saving. The location button recentres on you.
- Directions stay off until you turn them on. The heading and step counter stay at the top while you scroll the list. The map only moves when you tap a step or use the arrows.
- Customise uses the same framed sections as the rest of the site: Views, App, Appearance, and recovery of earlier saved data.
- Change group signs you out of the current site and returns you to the first-launch chooser. Cached maps and recordings stay with the website they came from. If you have leftover data from an older app version, restore only what belongs to the group you are on.
