A group that already set a different local rate is left as it is.\n- The Expenses help on that page explains the HMRC change, that 55p is a guide from Head office, that Groups and Areas may choose a lower local rate, and that questions can go to finance@ramblers.org.uk.\n- Future expense claims use the updated Cost Per Mile. Claims already submitted keep the rate they were created with.\n- Unity Trust Bank payment guidance on the expenses page is shown only to Finance Admin and Treasury Admin.\n- Stacked expense claims have a gap below the history table on the right.","contentHtml":"
13-Oct-2026 — apply the 2026 HMRC mileage rate on committee settings ref #427
\n
build 1000 — commit d0880a0
\n
\n
What's new
\n
\n
Committee Settings → Expenses now uses 55p per mile as the Cost Per Mile for new sites, matching the HMRC rate that took effect from 6 April 2026.
\n
Groups still using the previous HMRC rate of 45p are updated to 55p.
