# 15-Oct-2026 — fix native sign-in and smooth walking controls [ref #151](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/151)

## [build 1004](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/actions/runs/38826850989) — [commit 84ea619](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/commit/84ea619f1791fcc29eb7f3c2694de3b1036eb2d8)

## What's new

- In the walking app, swipe the drawer handle or Recording bar to open the controls; the drawer follows your finger and settles smoothly when released. Swipe down over the content when it is at the top to close it.
- Choose Close drawer to return to the map while recording continues. Discard uses a bin icon, Close drawer uses a downward chevron, and Exit map remains the separate control for leaving the map.
- Start, Pause and Resume stay on a full-width row below the distance and time figures, matching the other walking controls.
- Tap Start to check your location before following a walk. If you are more than 200 metres from its start, the drawer shows the straight-line distance and asks you to travel there before starting directions.
- Stop recording is available even before GPS has recorded enough points to save a route. Saving still requires a route line.

- Sign in to your selected group in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps when the website redirects between addresses with and without www. Failed sign-ins show a useful response instead of leaving the login panel waiting.
- Use the floating navigation control from the website home screen to return through the app; wider site menus scroll horizontally and walking controls fit their labels above the text.
