# 21-Oct-2026 — show abbreviated date ticks on the range slider [ref #391](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/issues/391)

## [build 1012](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/actions/runs/39689061652) — [commit 05208ab](https://github.com/nbarrett/ngx-ramblers/commit/05208ab84b5c7d2941c5cec7f3afb3f2cf0fc7a4)

## What's new

- Date range sliders (Walks search, Bulk Load history, mail reports, and other admin date ranges) show short dates along the track, such as `08 Aug 2026`, instead of min and max labels in columns beside the bar.
- The first and last dates stay visible. Extra ticks are spaced so the labels do not overlap. A short range still shows a mark for each day.
