A name such as INBOX/Meetings is stored as Meetings.\n- Dragging messages into a folder files those conversations there. Dragging them to Deleted records the deletion, so the same mail is not delivered into Inbox again. Dragging them back to Inbox or into a folder brings that conversation back.\n- Renaming a folder in the mail app renames it in the inbox, and the conversations stay in it. A website folder cannot be renamed to Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Junk or Deleted. Renaming a folder in the inbox shows up in the mail app the next time that app refreshes its folder list.\n- Deleting a folder in the mail app removes it from the inbox and files its conversations in Deleted. Thunderbird's habit of renaming a folder to Deleted/Name does the same.\n- Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Junk and Deleted cannot be renamed or deleted from the mail app. Outlook's own Archive, Conversation History, Outbox and Snoozed folders stay in Outlook.\n- Messages with attachments now open with a normal message body in Outlook, instead of showing the raw attachment encoding.","contentHtml":"
30-Oct-2026 — keep mail-client folders in step with the inbox #407
\n
build 1031 — commit ffa2c2f
\n
\n
What's new
\n
\n
Creating a folder in Apple Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird now adds the same folder to the NGX inbox.
