This provides you with a few features that can help you find items that are normally hidden or to create new socials. This is what it looks like:\n\n![](https://ngx-ramblers.org.uk/api/aws/s3/site-content/e272e87f-88e3-4079-9fe1-1d73d4aca9e6.jpg)\n\n## Using the search bar to find old socials\n\nTo do this:\n- First, choose **Past Social Events** in the dropdown to the left of the **Quick Search** field.\n- Then, choose **Date Descending** in the rightmost dropdown.\n\nThe view will now appear something like this, with an additional pagination bar below the search bar:\n\n![](https://ngx-ramblers.org.uk/api/aws/s3/site-content/959e7385-e3de-4f6d-8b15-bafa922adc46.jpg)\n\nThe pagination bar allows you to scroll through all of the available socials but for the site to only need to display limited data. To make the page work fast in this mode, only 8 socials are shown at a time.\n \n## Performing full-text searches\n\nIf you want to further filter the view you can type in a search topic and the results will be filtered to show only socials that match that topic. So if you enter **pizza** in the quick search field, the view will now look like this:\n\n\n![](https://ngx-ramblers.org.uk/api/aws/s3/site-content/social-search-past-with-search-topic.jpg)\n\n## Creating a new social based on an old one\n\nIf you click on any social that's on display e.g. [this one](https://ngx-ramblers.org.uk/social/615ab544823b300016e1d308), you will be taken directly to the detail view for that social where as an administrator, you will be able to see an edit button:\n\n![](https://ngx-ramblers.org.uk/api/aws/s3/site-content/02824334-c8eb-4721-98f8-14596b71332c.jpg)\n\nOnce on the edit page for the social, you can then click on the copy button, to copy the details of the old social to a new one, with the event date set to today (which then of course you can change to a date in the future). If you now click save, you should find the social in the \"future\" view on the [social page](https://ngx-ramblers.org.uk/social) when you return to it.\n\n![](https://ngx-ramblers.org.uk/api/aws/s3/site-content/8d0c6e0a-a8c6-41ed-bd0e-ebad824e62c1.jpg)","contentHtml":"<h1>Search bar features</h1>\n<br>\n\n<p>When you first land on the social page as a member with social admin privileges, you will see a search bar that is not visible to normal members.
