Brede High Woods
We head over the county border to East Sussex and to the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, for an 11.5 mile walk at Brede High Woods, starting from the Eastern car park
Located at Cripps Corner, near Battle, the route commencing through the Woodland Trust owned High Woods, takes us out through some lovely countryside.
Our usual short picnic lunch will take place at Sedlescombe, there is a green but no seating outside the Queens Head, which is suitable for drinks. This undulating circuit also includes the delightfully named Cackle Street, as well as passing close to Powdermill Reservoir.
Dogs welcome, but on a short lead when required.
