Bridge Walk
This is a 12.5 mile walk from Bridge, that saviours the delights of the undulating countryside of orchards, parkland and woodland on the outskirts of the city of Canterbury.
Heading in a clockwise direction, we initially set off towards Bekesbourne, before turning southwards to pass Squirrel Mills Trig point, and onward through woodland to the south of Adisham and across Barham Downs. When we reach Kingston, the Elham Valley Way is joined and is followed for a short stretch, before turning right, then through Marley & Charlton Wood.
Part way through Gorsley Wood, we drop down to the James Bond inspired Duck Inn at Pett Bottom for a refreshment break, before the final few miles back to Bridge to complete our circuit.
As always there will be a snack/lunch stop at a suitable point en route.
Walk leader is Steve Bourne
