Chartwell to Emmetts

A circular walk from Chartwell to Emmetts Garden featuring scenic views and woodland.

We will leave Chartwell and loop around Mariners Hill, enjoying the views over the Weald. We continue back past Chartwell, climbing through woodland to reach the hamlet of French Street. We cross pasture land to reach the woodland of Toy's Hill and The Chart. We will stop for a break at Emmetts Garden, where we can take a morning coffee. As we leave the garden, we pass the pond and ram pump that was used to supply water to Emmetts. We continue along woodland paths to the settlement of Toy's Hill, from where we make our way to Chartwell Farm and back to our starting point in Chartwell.
