Chartwell to Ide Hill via Emmetts Garden

Meet at Chartwell Car Park. Free for members of the National Trust or £6 with JustPark app location 80538. The walk mainly follows the National Trust’s circular Weardale Way from Chartwell via French Street and Emmets Garden to Ide Hill where we will have lunch at the Cock Inn. We then rejoin the Weardale Way to return to Chartwell. There are some short ascents on this walk but nothing strenuous and no stiles. If the weather is inclement there is the option of shortening the walk by having lunch at Emmetts Garden cafe. EX147
