Chestfield and Whitstable footpaths and coast

A leisurely pre-Christmas semi-urban walk on a mixture of surfaces. Mostly firm underfoot but some PROWs have surface mud that may be slippery but not deep nor difficult. One unadopted road is badly pot-holed and can remain very wet after rain, There are a few footbridges but no stiles. Meet outside the Chestfield Barn pub on Chestfield Road, Chestfield. Please park considerately in Grasmere Road or alternatively Old Fold. There is the opportunity for drinks after the walk in the Chestfield Barn, which will of course be busy with pre-Christmas diners. The pub have given permission to use their car park for those intending to drink there after the walk; please use the rear car park rather than the spaces at the side.
