Conningbrook Lakes walk
Our final evening walk for 2026, is a 6.7 mile circuit, starting from Conningbrook Lakes.
We commence around the lake, to follow the path to Blackwall Road, which we walk along for a few minutes, to then turn towards Kennington, emerging near the railway line. Our route then heads in the direction of Wye until we reach a wooden foot bridge.
We follow the path back across fields, crossing the railway line and come out by the Old Mill pub. After crossing the A28, we walk along Ball Lane to cross the footpath behind Kennington Hall. We then walk through fields behind the Towers School to arrive in Kennington, returning via The Ridge and the edge of Little Burton. The Conningbrook is handily situated for post walks drinks for those that wish to socialise at the conclusion of this last evening walk of the summer.
Dogs welcome, but please do keep on a short lead when required.
Walk leader is Simon Nash
