Cranbrook to Benenden

Our route in the morning takes us through the picturesque village of Sissinghurst and the grounds of Sissinghurst Castle before entering Hemsted Forest.  When we emerge from the forest we cut across to Benenden village where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we will explore the Roman road following in the legionaries' steps across the ford and take the High Weald Lanscape Trail back to Cranbrook, enjoying the views throughout.
