From Detling to Hucking along the North Downs Way

A  very attractive walk along the North Downs Way from Detling to Hucking, returning via the Pilgrims Way, with a stop at Thurnham Castle for a history lesson and far-reaching views across vineyards and fields and meadows. After the first leg of the walk, we will stop at The Hook and Hatchet for our lunch break and then will make our way through the Hucking Estate and down a steep track. We will follow the Pilgrims Way (a - usually - quiet lane) past some attractive hamlets and move onto the footpath leading back to Detling.
