Devil’s Dyke and Chattri Memorial Loop

Stunning views of the coast from the South Downs. Quite a few steep ascents and strenuous for normal walkers, but a doddle for most Sevenoaks ramblers at least. 

Gradual ascent through Devil's Dyke up to Fulking Hill (206m). Then on to Coney Hill (118m) overlooking Brighton before heading north via Chattri Memorial (great views south; consumption of packed lunch here) to re-join South Downs Way and embark on western descent to village of Pyecombe (brief stop there at the lovely 12th century Church of the Transfiguration), cross the A23 and then ascend and descend hill back to Siddlescombe Farm.
