Donnington Castle Bus n Walk Awayday No 1

Join us for wonderful views of the west Berkshire countryside and its pretty villages, first from the upper deck of a public transport bus and then on foot from Donnington Castle.  Reading Buses Jet Black 1 service from Reading Town Centre (Blagrave Street Stop EP) takes approx 75 -80 minutes to Newbury Wharf and then it’s 6 minutes on the Oxford Buses X34 service to Donnington (Donnington Priory stop).  It’s a short walk along Castle Lane to the walk start in the car park next to the historic ruins of Donnington Castle.  David M and Linda A will be leading separate walks: 4.5 miles and 10 miles respectively.  Text leaders David (0793 224 6232) or Linda (0777 612 6663) if joining this fun day out.
