Elham (Unveiling of plaque)

A short walk to celebrate the unveiling of a dedication plaque to Margaret and Les at the newly installed gate and new steps.

Meet in The Square, by the Church entrance. Please park considerately in The Square (spaces limited), Pound Lane or New Road by the school railings. This scenic walk climbs the eastern side of the Valley before crossing typical undulating downland towards The Old Rectory in Acrise then returning through a wood and across the Downs to the new gate for a brief ceremony at around 12.30. Please be aware that there are some hills and that the ground may be wet and a little muddy in places so come prepared!

There is an opportunity to have a drink afterwards at the recently refurbished Kings Arms in the Village.  (If intending to attend the pub afterwards please let Andrew know beforehand. Contact the pub direct on 01303 840242 if you wish to make arrangements to eat there).
