Eridge Park Circular, 8 miles

We meet on the green in the village of Frant before heading south along the perimeter of Eridge Old Park. We then join the Sussex Border path and head east stopping briefly at the site of some ruined follies built on the estate in the 19th century. Once we reach Stitches farm we divert north via Hamsell Manor to re-enter the deer park at Mill Wood. We will stop for lunch and to enjoy fine views of the lakes and bracken covered park before gradually ascending back to the village of Frant and well-earned refreshments at the George Inn.

Please bring a picnic lunch!  There are no shops or toilet facilities on this route.

This walk is not suitable for dogs as the deer park requires dogs to be on a short lead at all times and we meet with sheep, cattle and horses in the fields beyond.
