Holesome Mysteries

A meandering walk starting and finishing at the Hook & Hatchet on the Hucking Estate. We will stop at one, maybe two interesting holes in the ground. We will walk through some open access areas. There will be options, so for example, anyone wishing to cut short the walk will be able to.

The Hucking Estate is run by the Woodland Trust. Size: 281.71 ha (696.11 acres).

This large mix of ancient woodland, planted secondary woodland and open grassland, is home to woodland archaeology, wonderful walks, interesting wildlife and breathtaking views – all set in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

There will be some ups and downs, but we are remaining on the top of the downs, so they are relatively small changes in elevation. Weather permitting, we will have a beautiful view from the top looking south from the downs.
