Hythe - Shornecliffe Circular

Meet on the canal bridge on Twiss Road (park on Twiss Road or nearby). We start with a short walk along the canal to join the seafront. We then walk east along the prom to reach the start of the canal at Battery point. An uphill path takes us through woods to the Military cemetery at Shornecliffe with views back over the coast and towards Dungerness, if the weather is clear. From here an undulating wooded path goes west through Parker wood joining the Saxonshore way towards Saltwood and back to Hythe. The Bell pub is at the end of the walk for refreshments. We will go through fields with livestock.
