A Longish Walk from Toys Hill

From Toys Hill we drop to the flat countryside around Four Elms before heading to Bough Beech visitors centre for a picnic lunch (sadly, this is now closed, although there is still shelter). The afternoon sees us cross more farmland before reaching the Greensand Way, which takes us through Ide Hill and back to Toys Hill. There are fine views throughout the walk, but please note that you will need to be self-sufficient as regards food and drink (with plenty of water if it is still hot), while there are no public toilets until we reach Ide Hill towards the end of the day. We should cover 7 miles in the morning, possibly with two breaks, and 6 in the afternoon. The relative absence of hills until the late climb to Ide Hill accounts for the Medium grade despite the length of the walk.
