Lympne Castle and Burmarsh Circular

Meet at Lympne village hall carpark CT21 4LE (free parking). We walk west following the saxon shore way, with views across the coast to Dungerness. We then go down the Port Lympne zoo path to join the royal military canal. The walk along the canal is flat. At Giggers Green bridge we head south across the marsh to Burmarsh. A short picnic stop at Burmarsh Church which is adjacent to the Shepherd & Crook pub (open for drinks not food -as only Sunday lunch is served. We then turn north to find the canal, and a final long, slow hill past the ruins of Stutfall Castle taking us back to the start.
