Newbury evening circular

Today’s evening walk takes us around some of the local countryside around Newbury. Starting at Newbury station, we’ll walk towards St Nicolas' Church to follow the Kennet & Avon Canal towards the monkey bridge and Northcroft Park. We’ll then walk through this park towards Moor Lane, which we then walk along through the water meadows before returning to the canal and towards the Enborne Road.

Once at this road, we’ll cross over it to the field to walk through some fields towards Wash Common, which on a clear day offers some fantastic views of Newbury and the local area. After this, we’ll then head back into Newbury via City Park towards finish the walk at the station. For those who want a pub stop at this point, we’ll be stopping off at The Dolphin, which is a short walk from the station.
