NOTE THE CHANGE OF DESTINATION - One Tree Hill to Basted

1 September 2026: This walk will now go to Basted.  The intended pub at Dunks Green has had a fire in their kitchen and will not be able to provide lunch on the walk day.

From the car park at One Tree Hill we go over Wilmot Hill and down to Ightham Mote for an early stop (and toilets).  We go through Shipbourne and Plaxtol and on to Basted for lunch.  Just under 6 miles and 200 feet/60m of ascent.

Lunch will be available at the Plough Inn at Basted or bring a picnic lunch to enjoy nearby.

After lunch, we return via Yopps Green and Ightham Mote (toilets again) before going back to the start along the Greensand Way.  About 4¾ miles and 700 feet/215m of ascent.
